Offshore Races

Round Britain and Ireland

The double-handed race around Britain and Ireland from Plymouth, with compulsory stopovers.

Run by the Royal Western Yacht Club since 1966, the race goes clockwise around the islands with 48-hour stopovers. Since 2022 it has stopped at Galway, Lerwick and Blyth. A crewed class was added in 2022. Not to be confused with the RORC's non-stop Sevenstar Round Britain and Ireland Race from Cowes.
