Starts and finishes in Les Sables-d'Olonne. Skippers sail down the Atlantic, leave the Cape of Good Hope, Cape Leeuwin and Cape Horn to port, then sail back up the Atlantic. An Antarctic exclusion zone keeps them away from the ice.
